Horse riding and accommodation in a unique environment.
In the summer we offer large and small groups to experience the most enjoyable horse riding tours in beautiful areas, like historic Thingvellir. Short sightseen tours also every day on a car.
The program is organized such that the overnight stays are at Minniborgir from Sunday to Thursday (4 nights). We can also pick you up from a hotel in Reykjavik on Sunday wich means you don´t need a rental car.

Day 1 - Sunday: Guests arrive at Minniborgir and settle into the comfortable cottages. At 20.00 hrs is a short meeting with everyone in the meeting-house, where the itineraries and tour arrangements of all the groups will be discussed, and maps studied.

Day 2 - Monday: Minni-Borg-Lyngdalsheidi heath-Kringlumyri. Breakfast at 08:00 hrs. Guests take food with them for the day they select from the breakfast buffet. Going to the horse stalls in Minni-Borgir at 09:00 hrs, and guests are assisted in selecting riding horses suitable for them. Riding off around 10:00 hrs. Return to Minniborgir is scheduled late in the afternoon, but on our way back to Minniborgir we go to see Gullfoss and Geysir.  Dinner in the meeting-house at 18:30 hrs. The hot pots are always ready for our tired travelers. 

Day 3 – Tuesday: Kringlumyri-Gjabakki-Thingvellir (Skogarholar). Breakfast at 08:00 hrs. Guests take food with them for the day they select from the breakfast buffet. Leaving Minniborgir at 09:00 hrs. This day the guests will ride through the Thingvellir national park and through the forest. A very enjoyable day trip. Return to Minniborgir scheduled late in the afternoon and on our way back we drive through the national park so you can see it from another view. We also see a famous geothermal area at Nesjavellir, and the famous crater Kerid.  Dinner in the meeting-house at 18:00 hrs. A great way to end a good day is to soak in the hot pots afterwards.

Day 4 – Wednesday: Thingvellir-Stiflisdalur-Fellsendi. Breakfast at 08:00 hrs. Again, guests take food with them for the day. The riding is along earth tracks that are great fun, across creeks and river. This is a highly enjoyable day tour. Return to Minniborgir scheduled late in the afternoon. There will be a splendid barbeque in the meeting-house at 19:00 hrs in the evening.

Day 5 – Thursday: Breakfast at 08:00 hrs. The guests tidy up the cottages and leave Minniborgir not later than at 12:00 hrs.

Included:
Included in the price is full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner), horse riding tours for 3 days, helmet and rain suit, accommodation in Minniborgir with prepared beds, bath towels and hot pots. Also driving of guests between places, wich includes to and from Reykjavik.
Not included:
Beverages other than those included with the full board (and travelling provisions for the trips), no alcoholic beverages. What guests need to bring themselves are good outdoor clothes, warm spare clothes for the trips, gloves and good, sturdy shoes, and of course a swimming suit.
