In the summer we offer large and small groups the great experience of driving an All Terrain Vehicle in Iceland’s nature. One or two persons can ride each vehicle. The program is organized so that you stay overnight in Minniborgir from Sunday to Thursday (4 nights).

Day 1 - Sunday: Guests arrive at Minniborgir and settle into the comfortable cottages. At 20.00 hrs is a short meeting with everyone in the meeting-house, where the itineraries and tour arrangements of all the groups are discussed, and maps studied.

Day 2 - Monday: Lyngdalsheidi heath-Mt. Skjaldbreid-Mt. Hlodufell-Middalur valley. Breakfast at 08:00 hrs. Guests take food with them for the day which they select from the breakfast buffet. Leaving Minniborgir at 09:00 hrs. Here we’ll sight Europe’s second largest glacier, Langjokull. Return scheduled late in the afternoon, but on our way back to Minniborgir we drive trough the national park at Thingvellir, and also stop at the famous crater kerid.  Dinner in the meeting-house at 18:30 hrs. The hot pots are always ready for the tired travellers. 

Day 3 – Tuesday: Middalur valley-Bruarskord-Gullfoss waterfall-Middalur. Breakfast at 08:00 hrs. Guests take food with them for the day from the breakfast buffet. Leaving Minniborgir at 09:00 hrs. Now we visit the famous waterfall Gullfoss. Return to Minniborgir scheduled late in the afternoon, but on our way back we will see more of this powerful waterfall the White River and its diffrent landscape forms. We drive through Fludir on our way back to Minniborgir.  Dinner in the meeting-house at 18:00 hrs. A great way to end a good day is to soak in the hot pots afterwards.       

Day 4 – Wednesday: Uthlid-Hloduvellir-Lake Hagavatn-Uthlid. Breakfast at 08:00 hrs.  Again, guests take food with them for the day. We take another route to Langjokull, and this time we go right up to the glacier. A spectacular view. On our way back to Minnborgir we go to see the famous Geysir,and the Geysir area.  There will be a splendid barbeque in the meeting-house at 19:00 hrs in the evening.

Day 5 – Thursday: Breakfast at 08:00 hrs. The guests tidy up the cottages and leave Minniborgir not later than at 12:00 hrs.

Included: Included in the price is full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner), driving on ATV for 3 days, helmet and rain suit, accommodation in Minniborgir with prepared beds, bath towels and hot pots. Also driving of guests to the ATV departure points, and sightseen tours, and to and from Reykjavik.

Not included:
Beverages other than those included with the full board, no alcoholic beverages. What guests need to bring themselves are good outdoor clothes, warm spare clothes for the trips, gloves and good, sturdy shoes, and of course a swimming suit.
